Honoured to have Uma Thana Balasingam (Co-Founder of Lean In Singapore Chapter) to join our #neverdrift session! Always heartening to see people who have achieved success in their field, look back and help others along their journey as well. Very inspirational!

Today’s topic was on ‘Negotiations and Tough Conversations’. I feel that many people (esp those like myself with <2-3 years in the working world) struggle with this simply because we are afraid of rejection, confrontation, judgment from others etc. One key takeaway from Uma was just simply to ASK. You can’t expect people to give it to you if you don’t at least ask for it. Be brave- know your value and communicate it!!
