Post Event Reflections

Last weekend, we had the pleasure of inviting Ting Lim, Head of Singapore Capital Markets at JLL, to #NeverDrift. JLL is one of the largest commercial real estate firms in the world. Ting has led numerous high profile projects in the last 15 years in cross border transactions, join venture structuring and assisted in raising in excess of US$10Bn of foreign capital.

We asked her how she sustained being a high performer throughout her career all while taking care of her 3 kids:

1) We always forget about loving and taking care of ourselves. It’s important to rest and take a step back to go on a longer journey. Set boundaries and allocate me-time.

2) Find your expert niche and continually ask yourself – what’s your dream job. It is vital to enjoy your work and do what you like as we spend so much of our time at work. This makes it easier to take on challenges from a fun perspective.

3) You should worry if you’re no longer learning. Keep investing in consistent growth and take time to reflect on your key learnings for the day.

🍀If something in this post made you pause, that’s usually worth looking at. Learn more about working with Natalie here.
